Meteor valley is a buzz with something in the air, perhaps magic, or maybe its just the anticipation your horse feels knowing it's about to be tested, and what that trial could be, or when it might happen! What will they face first? No one knows but they better be prepared!

Welcome to the Wild Trials for wild horses. Your horse's goal is to go through any 4 of the trials listed below, and then the Final trial to graduate and prove themselves to be the best of the best!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pick any four of the prompts below and draw you horse doing them. Finish up with the final trial.
Where it says 'location' the prompt must be drawn with the appropriate background. So if it says 'fields' then it must be drawn in a field. What that field, swamp or forest looks like is up to you.
Submit your images into the correct folders.
in the description of each image, please put down what prompt you have used.
(optional) writing a short story in the image description.
Once you are finished Go to this journal and submit your horse's trial for graduation.

PROMPTS

Location: Fields

F1) The resident herd of the Valley has come to greet your horse and invite them to stay for their duration of the trials. How does your horse take to their temporary family? Do they get along with all of them? Does it attack them? Is it a mixed bag? Draw your horse meeting other wild horses (minimum 3 horses in the pic, not including yours.)

F2) A predator has caught your horse off guard and is about to attack, what will your horse do? Run away? fight? or something else?

Location: Swamps

S1) You must venture into the swamp looking for a rare root that only grows here to cure a sick mare in the herd you are staying with. Find the root but beware of what hides in the murky waters... there might be alligators.

S2) OH NO! You get stuck in the swamp muck! How will you get out?! Show your horse trying to get out of the muck!

Location: Old Growth Forest

GF1) The fog is as thick as pea soup, and to make things worse, one of the foals from the herd your horse is staying with has gone running into the forest. Find him before the predators do!

GF2) Your horse has gone exploring into the forest to see what it can find, but they've gone a bit to far. They need to bunker down for the night. Will they use their survival instincts and find a safe spot from Predators? Will the keep going? Or will they stay out in the open and hope nothing finds them before morning?

GF3) Your horse finds some old ruins in the forest. Show them exploring their find?

Location: Crystal Caves

C1) Your horse hears of a tale about a crystal that grants a special power, so they venture into the caves to go look for it! Will they find it? (your horse has a 40% chance of finding the crystal. If found you can use the stone to give any failed trial a passing grade.)

C2) Your horse goes exploring in the cave! Do they find anything cool? Maybe something scary? Cave drawings perhaps? Or how about a tomb!

FINAL TRIAL

Your horse has heard the whisper on the wind, and it is telling them to go the Sacred Garden of the Valley Deities, Aries the Great Kirin or Prince Caspian, located up in the mountains surrounding the valley. They must present themselves to one of the guardians where they will reward your horse with the prize they seek. The only problem, there is no path, and no one knows the way (or if they do they won't tell you.) The climate is harsh and unforgiving so your horse must survive and locate the Gardens.

Instructions

Read the setting carefully below.
Draw your horse either making the trek, or meeting Aries or Caspian
Submit your image to the correct folder.
Go to this journal and post the four trails and link to the Final trial.

Setting:
The surrounding Meteor Valley Mountians. The air is dry, and never above -2C (28F). At night it can dip to lows of -12C (10F) so your horse better be prepared to brave the cold. Sometimes there is snow, other times not. Food is scare, brittle and not very nutritious, and most pockets of water are usually frozen over.
